Myles B. Solomon, Esq.
For the last decade, Myles B. Solomon, Esq. has been specializing in the representation of college football coaches, basketball coaches and athletic directors. Having received his undergraduate degree in sports business from the University of South Carolina (USC) and law degree from the USC School of Law, Myles worked in professional sports for the Los Angeles Angels (MLB) and Anaheim Ducks (NHL), before honing his expertise in coaches’ representation under the tutelage of Craig Kelly, the country’s top agent for coaches. The late Kelly’s client list included Frank Beamer, Gary Patterson, Urban Meyer, Dennis Franchione and many others.
As a practicing litigator for seven and a half years in San Francisco, Myles has unparalled negotiating skills – having negotiated best-in-the-conference salaries for his clients. Further, he has established relationships with all of the major coach and administrator search firms, so that his clients are squarely in the middle of any search in which they would like to be involved.
In recent years, Myles has expanded his practice to handle all NCAA compliance issues on behalf of coaches and universities - and has implemented his compliance strategies for "head coach responsibility" (NCAA Rule 18.104.22.168) at programs across the country.
Myles also served as an adjunct professor at the University of South Carolina, teaching Sport and the Law as well as Contracts and Negotiations, and he is currently a member of the California (inactive) and Georgia (active) bars. Myles and Solomon Sports has been featured in California Lawyer magazine twice (July 2005 and April 2010) and also in Sports Illustrated (Dec. 8, 2014).
